Why Do Bugs Keep Coming Back No Matter What?

Many people find bugs coming back after treatment. Here's why:

  1. You killed the adults but not the eggs

Most insecticides only kill adult bugs — they don't touch the eggs. When those eggs hatch, you get a fresh wave. Repeat the treatment after 7–10 days to take out the newly hatched adults.

  1. You didn't find the breeding source

Bugs breed in specific environments: standing water breeds mosquitoes, damp corners breed sowbugs, grain containers breed rice weevils. If you spray but never clean the source, the bugs will keep coming.

  1. You didn't cover all the hiding spots

Bugs hide in cracks, crevices, and out-of-sight areas. Miss a spot and the survivors will keep breeding. Pay extra attention to corners, baseboards, and furniture gaps.

  1. You didn't seal the entry points

Outdoor bugs come in through door gaps, window cracks, pipes, and vents. Seal those openings, reinforce window screens, and cut off the invasion at the source.

What to do

  • Combine chemical treatment with environmental cleanup
  • Keep your home dry and clean — tidy up neglected areas regularly
  • Store food in airtight containers; take out the trash daily
  • Inspect regularly and deal with signs of pests right away
