What to do if fruit flies are flying all over the house?

Fruit flies flying everywhere indicate there is an attractive food source somewhere. Follow these emergency steps:

Step 1: Find and remove the food source

• Check the kitchen for rotten fruit.
• Look for unfinished drink cans.
• Clean food debris left on kitchen sponges.
• Remove all kitchen waste from indoor garbage bins.
• Once the food source is removed, fruit flies will gradually decrease.

Step 2: Kill existing adults

• Use a fly swatter directly.
• Vacuum up flying fruit flies.
• Use fruit fly traps (vinegar + dish soap homemade).
• Sticky traps can also be used.

Step 3: Spray insecticide
